The Independent Research Institute of Mongolia (IRIM) in cooperation with the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar (MUB) and The Asia Foundation (TAF) had implemented “The Urban Governance Project: Developing manuals on Research Methodology and MS Excel program for civil servants” project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The main purposes of the assignment as follows:

• To develop manuals on Research Methodology and MS Excel program for civil servants (project beneficiaries);
• To conduct Trainings of Trainers training.

Within the assignment framework IRIM team had organized the “Needs Assessment write shop” with participating khoroo and district level civil servants in order to define their real needs and requirements. Based on the results of this write shop,  the first draft of the manuals had developed and “Pilot training” was conducted in order to enhance and finalize both manuals.

One of the main activity of this assignment was preparing Trainings of Trainers (ToT), which will train the all civil servants of the khoroo, district and city level. The ToT Training had organized on 28-30 of November 2018 with the selected 13 ToTs from specialists of National Statistical Office of Mongolia. The Research methodology and MS Excel trainings for civil servants will be conducted around February 2019.
