IRIM’s Annual Reception was held 11 December 2019. The comprehensive “Digital Transparency Index for Government Organizations” was presented at the reception. The index has become a catalyst for discussions and recommendations for improvement in the digital accessibility and accuracy of government operations and services.

The reception was hosted by Dr Bekhbat Khasbazar (Ambassador, and IRIM’s President). In his welcome note, Ambassador Bekhbat highlighted IRIM’s contributions in promoting good governance, especially in the development of policy planning, capacity and practice; monitoring the transparency of the government agencies; enhancing  citizen participation in any decision making and promoting equal opportunities and access for vulnerable groups.

As governance is one of our main discipline areas, IRIM focuses on improving appropriate mechanisms, legislation and controls for the government’s activities, and for the integrity, transparency and accountability of public services. In doing so, this year, IRIM developed the Digital Transparency Index (DTI) as a standardized method to compare digital transparency on an international scale.  During the reception CEO Batsugar Tsedendamba introduced the DTI results to partners and guests.
