In 2018 and 2019, IRIM has successfully implemented the “The Lifestyle and Culture study of Mongolia” and “Analyzing the economic and social impact of the access to the infrastructure center” projects in collaboration with the research team of KOBE University of Japan.
As a continuation of above-mentioned projects, “Socio-economic survey of households receiving service from the Infrastructure Center” project is planned to be implemented within the period of January to March 2020. The aim of this project is to study the socio-economic conditions of households and compare the results as households that are currently receiving and not receiving partial engineering service (for water, heating and sewerage) from the Infrastructure Center.
The survey will cover a total of 880 households from 7th khoroo of Chingeltei district of Ulaanbaatar (where the Infrastructure Center is built and service is being provided), 18th (where the Infrastructure Center will be built in 2020) and 20th (where no infrastructure planning is currently made) khoroos of Sukhbaatar district of Ulaanbaatar.
IRIM team strongly believes that the findings of the socio-economics study of households living in the ger districts (especially in the Infrastructure Center service area) will contribute to the further development of the project.
