The study seeks to assess the effectiveness and appropriateness of distance education modality (TV lesson) in responding to climate change related emergencies. In particular, it aims to understand the level of accessibility and quality of this modality for the most marginalized children; education authorities, teachers’ and parents’ role in assuring children learn through this modality,

Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:  

  • Develop assessment methodology and tools.  

  • Develop the Inception report with details on methodology, work plan and timeframe.  

  • Conduct pre-test and organized data collection field works.  

  • Conduct data quality check and data processing on SPSS.  

  • Conduct data analysis.  

  • Examine legal and financial environment around distance education modality by examining (i) the accessibility to education modality for students from pre-school to upper secondary education level; (ii) the quality of the distance education modality in terms of content, teaching methodology and learning; (iii) the potential implications of distance education modality on children’s psycho-social condition; and (iv) the extent of involment of teachers, school administrators, local education departments as well as parents in the implementation of distance education modality  

  • Assess the appropriateness of TV lesson as a distance education modality during quarantine situation.  

  • Organize dissemination workshop to key stakeholders.  

  • Develop final report
