The first meeting of the "Community of Practice (CoP)," initiated by IRIM, was held on June 7, 2024. The initiative aimed to coordinate research activities related to climate change resilience and to enhance information exchange among researchers and experts.

In the first part of the meeting, researchers from GGGI Mongolia, NAP Mongolia project, and URECA LLC shared the interesting results of their recent research. In the second part, an open forum, IRIM Senior Researcher Oyundelger Enkhtuvshin shared her experiences from participating in the Professional Fellowship Program at Cornell University, funded by the U.S. Department of State, in the field of climate change.

During the meeting, participants expressed the importance of the initiative and agreed to jointly carry out the meetings and activities, and issue recommendations and statements aimed at influencing government policy and decision-making. Active suggestions for expanding the initiative on a wider scale were also discussed during the meeting.

We would like to express our gratitude to the  Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australia Award Fellowship Program for empowering researchers at IRIM in the field of climate-resilient development, laying the groundwork, and supporting this initiative.

Future meetings will be held every two months and meeting is open to all researchers and experts interested in sharing research results and analyses in the field of climate-resilient development and exchanging information.
